How much does a kitesurfing lesson cost in Icaraizinho?
The price depends on the format — private or duo lesson — and on the number of hours in your package. Equipment is included in the lessons, along with radio assistance and an IKO and ABK certified instructor. How long does it take to learn kitesurfing?
It takes around 12 hours of lessons to ride independently. With the IKO method you go through theory and kite control on land, body drag, first water starts and finally independent riding. Icaraizinho's consistent wind and shallow water speed up progress, and people who already surf, wakeboard or snowboard usually move faster.
Do I need experience to take a kite lesson?
No. Cabana do Kite's beginner lessons start from zero: a safety briefing on the sand, kite control, body drag and water start, always with IKO and ABK certified instructors. You need to be able to swim and feel comfortable in the water. Intermediate and advanced riders can book coaching to work on specific tricks.
When is the best time to learn kitesurfing in Icaraizinho?
The wind season in Icaraizinho runs from July to January, with a peak from August to October, when the wind is strongest and most regular. For beginners, 18 to 22 knots is ideal, which usually means July, early August and November. From February to June there is still wind, but it is irregular.
What is included in a kite lesson?
Cabana do Kite lessons include the full equipment — a right-sized kite, a board suited to your level, vest, helmet and harness — with Duotone and Ozone gear checked every day. You also get radio support throughout the session and a lesson adapted to your level. Just bring swimwear, water-resistant sunscreen and the will to learn.
What is the minimum age for kitesurfing lessons?
There is no fixed minimum age. Children often start from 7–8 years old, always in a private lesson with equipment adapted to their weight. Adults of any age are welcome. Message us on WhatsApp with the student’s age and level and we will set up the right lesson.
How do I book a kite lesson and what is the cancellation policy?
Bookings are made via WhatsApp (+55 88 98152-1670) or by email at contact@kiteclubicaraizinho.com and are confirmed in writing once dates, package and price are agreed. Refund conditions are those stated in that written confirmation. A lesson that cannot take place because of lack of wind is not charged: it is rescheduled or turned into a credit.
Where is Cabana do Kite and how do I get there?
Cabana do Kite is on Av. Dep. Roberto Mesquita, right on the sand of Icaraizinho de Amontada beach in Amontada, Ceará, about 200 km from Fortaleza, roughly 3 hours by car. We are open every day, 9 am – 6 pm, and our partner Pousada País Tropical is just a few minutes' walk away.
